Kok Construction (M) Sdn. Bhd. was established in 1998, involving in refurbishment works for multinational factories. Since then, the company has grown gradually into a complete building and civil engineering contractor engaging in all kinds of construction work. With a professionally-qualified construction team on board, the company managed to produce high quality works within the stipulated time frame of the construction period. As such, Kok Construction has successfully caught the eyes of many local and multinational business industries. Along the way, the company participated in tendering and securing numerous multi-million dollar factory projects.
In the past 2 years and just like most of the industry builders, Kok Construction has been overwhelmed with many challenges and risks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The company was forced to temporary stop its activities in April 2020 and its resources were left idle. But, the determination and unity of everyone in the company saw the company picking up. By the third quarter of 2020, the company started building and repurposed its activities.
The company had to comply with the stringent regulations set by the authorities and clients. Centralized Labour Quarters CLQ were built to house some of the workers. Those who tested positive for COVID-19 were quarantined. Through all these challenges, Kok Construction was able to deliver every project on time and at the agreed costs. The company was back on track and achieved tremendous growth in 2021 and 2022. In 2021, revenue increased by 29 per cent compared to the pre-pandemic 2019. Up to June this year, the company has secured projects worth 260 per cent more, compared to the whole of 2019.
It has been a very meaningful two years for Kok Construction. The company has successfully breached the RM100 million projects mark and secured the TF AMD Batu Kawan project in April 2022 costing RM185 million. For 2022, the company is getting close to RM500 million.
Essentially, Kok Construction applies five fundamental values — teamwork, quality, efficiency, follow-up and stamina. These values are complemented by services from a dedicated and passionate team.
