Branded Liu Jia Mian Xian, also known as Low Seat Hoon Handmade Mee Suah Sdn. Bhd., Low Seat Hoon Group, is a four-generation handmade noodle company. The group was founded in 1887 in Fu Jian Yong Chun China by Liu Wen Yi, who later moved to Nan Yang with his family.

The business was passed to the eldest son, Liu Pei Lou and survived the World War II period. Determined not to lose the skill for future generations, the company was passed to the third generation under Low Kem Chai. The company’s name has a very special origin. As Low Kim Seng, one of the founders of Low Seat Hoon Group said,

"I saw a very tall building in my dreams, there was a big plaque hung on the building named Low Seat Hoon (劉賜豐), this name deeply impressed me and I hope to set up a company with this name one day. Since then, I wrote the name on the calendar where I can see it every morning in order to remind and urge myself and my brothers to work harder and harder day by day to achieve this goal.”

In 1982, Low Seat Hoon was finally established by four brothers! Low Seat Hoon Group not only produces handmade noodles but is also involved in sesame oil, clothing and other trading sectors.

Today, the handmade noodle skill is handed down to the fourth generation, Low Che Shen. He established the brand name Liu Jia Mian Xian, which means Low’s Family Noodles to reflect the significance of handing it down from generation to generation.
