Established in 1944, Sin Boon Kee is the oldest coffee factory in Penang, serving Penangites traditional Penang Local Coffee (Kopi-O) for more than 78 years. Started as a coffee manufacturer and distributor, Sin Boon kee has supplied to more than 800 local “kopitiams” throughout the years, of which almost 70% located in Penang.

In 2018, Sin Boon Kee has started its transformation beginning with its FIRST 28g sachet 2 in 1 Kopi-O in the market with very classy matte packaging, outshined all his competitors and enrich existing and new customers with unforgettable, aromatic fragrant and flavorful coffee. Followed by Kopi-O without sugar, through a bold overture by replacing margarine with butter in the Kopi-O roasting process, accelerated the traditional coffee with unique aroma. Since then, Sin Boon Kee has first changed the customer demographic from local Penang to nationwide, and from B2B to B2C, as well as targeting end users especially through online platforms. Sin Boon Kee aims to provide innovated supreme quality beverage ingredients and ready-made beverages to entire Malaysia and Asia Pacific countries.

Not only that, Sin Boon Kee has also expanded into the field of F&B by establishing a Coffee Concept Store, aimed at introducing tourism attraction, culture and sustainable development as well as enabling personalised hands-on coffee experience aimed at introducing tourism attraction, whilst ensuring consumers the opportunity of enjoying the perfect balance of delicious local food while having a sip of the best coffee in Penang. SBK Coffee Concept Store serves its signature Specialty Bottled Drinks, ranging from coffee, tea and malt chocolate including other flavor mixes were made famous because of the convenience in bottles and concentrated taste of the drinks, making sure the people are able to enjoy Sin Boon Kee drinks at home and everywhere.
