Wei Wang Design & Structural Work Sdn. Bhd. (Wei Wang) was founded by Alan Tam and Alex Chew in 2000. Initially, the company started out in the production of wrought iron products, but as business grew, Tam and Chew’s leadership cemented Wei Wang’s reputation and position in the industry.
Offering high-quality production, reasonable pricing and excellent customer service, Wei Wang’s products not only answer customers’ demands for aesthetics, but also take into account humanized designs that are user-friendly. Every item produced by Wei Wang is meticulously built by skilled technicians using the best materials available, based on proprietary designs created by its professional production team. In order to maintain product quality, all parts and items are made in-house at Wei Wang’s dedicated factory in Balakong Jaya, Selangor.
Currently, Wei Wang’s portfolio includes polycarbonate skylights, safety glass roofs, aluminium house plates, as well as its flagship brand, WecoGate. The brand name “Weco” stems from a combination of “Wei Wang” and “eco”, focusing on green products for a more sustainable earth.
Since its inception in 2013, WecoGate has become synonymous with Wei Wang. These 100% aluminium autogates are a popular option for many homeowners who place emphasis on convenience and safety. At the same time, they want autogates that are not only attractive, but durable.
Although a relatively new concept in the autogate industry, WecoGate’s track-free folding gate system offers distinct advantages compared to conventional autogates made from iron or stainless steel. As the first gate-makers in the country to introduce fully-welded aluminium autogates, Wei Wang’s rust-resistant WecoGate features heavy duty panel hinges, reinforced gate frames, smaller gaps to prevent injury, sturdy wall support, and most importantly – a trackless mechanism that is maintenance-free.
To date, over 2,000 homes have been fitted with WecoGate products, which are all SIRIM approved for additional peace of mind. On 13 June 2020, Wei Wang also set a new record in the Malaysia Book of Records for having the “Heaviest Load Support By An Auto Gate Hinge System”, thanks to its stainless steel hinges, which can support a load of over 2,500kgs. This marked a huge milestone for Wei Wang, further proving the strength of WecoGate’s safety specifications. Furthermore, WecoGate’s designs and mechanisms have also been granted patents by the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO).
