Evergold Metal Roofing Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in 2011, manufacturing mainly metal roofing products such as roofing sheets, light weight truss purlin and rainwater gutter systems in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
For years, the dedicated R&D team in Evergold has developed and diversified flat steel downstream products, such as sun louvers systems, metal ceilings and roller shutters systems, offering more constructions solutions to the market.
In light of the limited construction choices in the domestic market, Evergold also actively source and trade from other local and overseas manufacturers to enhance building solutions, such as wood plastic composites, luxury vinyl tiles, construction adhesives, sealants, fire retardant materials & insulations, galvanized steel pipes in square and rectangular shapes. These products have significantly gained popularity in residential and commercial projects.
Despite the influx of cheap and low-quality building materials from overseas flooding the market in recent years, Evergold has managed to compete by offering warranties and quality assurance for customers and focusing on continuous improvement and engineering on products to become more affordable and yet does not compromise its quality. Close communications with suppliers and customers is also vital to keep the company competitive in the market.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruptions to supply chains, cash flow problems, material shortages and price increases that affect businesses. As a leading steel manufacturing company, the management was well prepared and took proactive measures to make sure all the raw materials were secured and production ran according to schedule to ensure the products were delivered on time to customers. Despite of the severe lockdown restrictions, Evergold’s manufacturing plant was able to operate smoothly. In fact, the orders increased tremendously due to overseas delivery goods disruptions that favoured local manufacturers in terms of delivery time and prices. This proved that Evergold’s team was well prepared to overcome challenges such as a pandemic.
To date, Evergold has accomplished 5000 metric tons of steel fabrication per annum recorded by current trades. In the future, Evergold will focus more on product diversification, sustainable solutions and technical development in galvanized steel products and other related construction materials, adding values and improvements to the life quality of the societies.
