The company had its beginnings in 1989 when founder William Boo started Muar Tools Manufacturer Sdn. Bhd. in Muar and provides precision tooling mainly in the Semiconductor Industry. Muar Tools started as fabricator, but now focuses on providing engineering design and machining solution for semiconductor related customers. The team is capable of designing and building fixtures, jigs, gauges, trim and form molds, complex parts, various pins and even contact fingers where geometry allowance is only 0.003mm or 3µm.
Muar Tools’ purpose is to contribute its engineering passion and expertise to the technological world. The company’s vision is to be the leading precision tools and mechanical service provider in Malaysia. 2023 is a very exciting year for the company, as the trade war and geopolitics issues between the US and China are turning Malaysia into an attractive position to capitalise on the semiconductor industry. This is the perfect opportunity for Muar Tools to expand its market. Muar Tools has invested in a larger facility which is currently under renovation and estimated to be completed by Q4 this year. The new facility will provide a larger capacity customer loading as the customer base is growing. Muar Tools is also investing in higher end machines and equipment as it is targeting top semiconductor companies in the world. Furthermore, Muar Tools is building a new assembly line to provide additional value customers and provide employment for local fresh graduates.
