Established in 2015, Tectra Sdn. Bhd., previously known as TECMCO Sdn. Bhd., has over 10 years of collective experience in supplying a wide range of medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) switchgears and transformers in the engineering industry. Tectra is a distributor for high quality switchgears and transformers from China, Malaysia and Thailand and its clients’ industry range from power, automobile, commercial development, education institution, government buildings, petro chemical to iron and steel works.
Unlike its competitors, Tectra is not only a mere supplier but also a one-stop MV equipment specialist who provides engineering consultation, supply and installation, after sales service and minor repairs for all MV related projects. Tectra is committed to provide on-site support to clients within two hours for any location that is within 50 km from its headquarters in Penang. Tectra is registered with the local government authority. Tectra is a qualified CIDB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga & Ministry of Finance contractor.
Moving forward, Tectra plans to provide a complete ecosystem for the medium voltage business in the region. Tectra Engineering Sdn. Bhd. will be formed to provide after sales and periodic maintenance services to all existing and new clients. As the supplier of the initial system, Tectra will better understand clients’ needs and therefore able to tailor make the services packages that best suits their requirements. Following this, the next initiative is to set up Tectra Academy to provide free and paid seminars for existing and new clients. Tectra strongly believes that knowledge is power. In medium voltage industries, knowledge on the system operations are crucial to prevent untoward incidents which might inflict losses in business income or even the lives of the operators.
Tectra aims to be a market leader in the medium voltage business industry within the next 5 years. Ultimately, Tectra wants to be the benchmark and a trusted partner for customers looking for medium voltage equipment solutions in the South East Asia region. Tectra’s director has a vision to revolutionise the medium voltage supplier industry and his approach has proven to be a success, as reflected in the company’s increasing revenue growth. Sales have doubled in 2022 compared to 2021. In 2023, purchase orders values have tripled, compared to 2022. Tectra aims to break the RM50 million sales revenue mark by the end of 2023.
