Poly Edge was established in February 2021 as a regional market expansion specialist for various types of recyclable thermoplastic materials. The company serves customers across a diverse range of industries, including Flexible Packaging, Rigid Packaging, Textile, Houseware, Agriculture, E&E, and Automotive.
With a diverse product portfolio and extensive sales network, Poly Edge is able to ensure a smooth and continuous supply to its customers, supported by tailor-made logistics and financial solutions.
Poly Edge’s unique selling proposition lies in its strong focus on Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) product segments, which collectively constitute approximately 80% of overall plastic resin demand. Supported by strong supply chain capabilities, Poly Edge remains committed to expanding its presence into overseas markets with the support of its business partners.
Currently, 20% of Poly Edge’s overall sales revenue is derived from export markets. Through its enrolment in the MADANI Digital Trade platform entrusted by MATRADE, Poly Edge is well positioned to establish stronger linkages with potential overseas buyers.
As a MATRADE member, the company has also participated in international exhibitions and trade missions to explore new markets and gain greater international exposure. The establishment of an overseas representative office is currently in the pipeline, and these initiatives are expected to further accelerate Poly Edge’s growth beyond Malaysia.
Poly Edge is also one of the earliest signatories of Operation Clean Sweep (OCS), a best-practice initiative introduced by the Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA) to prevent plastic resin from entering the environment.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Poly Edge plans to diversify into Biopolymer and Green Polymer products in the near future, further strengthening the company’s ESG aspirations and environmental commitments.
In the short term, Poly Edge aims to collaborate with more well-known international polymer producers to expand its product portfolio and provide greater product alternatives to customers, particularly SMEs that continuously face supply chain challenges.
In the long term, Poly Edge aspires to become an established regional market player within the plastics industry by providing value-added services and comprehensive support to both suppliers and customers.
Poly Edge earned the Golden Bull Award for the company’s resilience in business, strong leadership, sustainable growth, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Since its establishment, the company has demonstrated the ability to navigate an evolving market environment, identify new opportunities, strengthen its supply chain capabilities, and continuously expand its market reach. These qualities reflect Poly Edge’s determination to build a sustainable and successful business while creating greater value for its customers, suppliers, and business partners.
