Founded in Simpang Ampat, Penang, Sweet Home International (SWH) Sdn Bhd began with a vision to bring quality, affordable furniture to Malaysian families. Recognising that the need for well-made furniture extends beyond the home, the company expanded into corporate, public, healthcare, and institutional furnishing, establishing itself as a trusted provider across both residential and B2B markets.
Today, SWH offers more than 1,000 SKUs, spanning mattresses, bedframes, office chairs, workstations, metal lockers, dining tables, customized wardrobes, and more. At the heart of the business is a simple belief: everyone deserves quality furniture that delivers genuine value for money.
SWH’s current growth is driven by a combination of its established retail strength and an expanding digital presence. The company has invested in e-commerce, regional delivery capabilities, and internal systems that have significantly reduced sales turnaround time.
This digital foundation enables SWH to scale more efficiently while remaining guided by its core values of being fact-driven, creating value for the community, and working together as one team.
In the short term, SWH remains focused on consistently serving its customers while continuing to broaden and deepen its customer base. In the longer term, the company aims to become a leading name in Malaysia’s furniture industry – not only by supplying furniture, but by creating a lifestyle brand that is present in the everyday lives of Malaysians. This ambition is underpinned by its purpose of achieving greatness with like-minded partners and its mission to make life better for customers, employees, and communities.
Beyond residential furniture, SWH is continuing to expand its presence in the corporate, hospitality and healthcare sectors. The company is also open to collaborations with interior designers, property developers, and institutional buyers, including schools and hospitals, as it works to extend its reach across Malaysia.
Digital transformation is another key area of development. SWH is currently undertaking a digital transformation programme suited to the needs of an SME of its scale, including the integration of AI to support further business growth.
Alongside technology, the company places emphasis on its people and the wider community by fostering a respectful, growth-oriented workplace and adopting responsible business practices. These efforts reflect SWH’s broader belief in building a better life together for its employees, customers, and communities.
SWH’s growth over less than a decade reflects its evolution from a single furniture-focused vision into a multi-segment business serving households, corporations, and institutions. This expansion has established the company as a leading furniture provider in the northern region of West Malaysia.
Building on this foundation, SWH remains committed to its long-term vision of becoming a leading company in Malaysia’s furniture industry while continuing to create meaningful value for its customers, partners, employees and communities.
